Sheephead and Trout Tournament

The Ft. McAllister Sportfishing Club holds a Sheephead Tournament each year during late February, or early March. The dates will be announced at a later time. The Offshore Outlaws held a trout tournament in November of 2007. The tournament was a benefit to the Department of Family and Children’s Services. The Outlaws raised money to buy bicycles for the children. In December, 34 boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 15 were given bicycles from the Offshore Outlaws. They are hoping to do this again this year, thanks to their wonderful and generous sponsors.

The Fort McAllister Sportfishing Club will be holding a whiting tournament for children held on April 18th at Ft. McAllister Marina. You must sign up by Friday night at 7:00 PM. The weigh-in will be at 4:00 on Saturday.

Also, The Fort McAllister Sportfishing Club will be holding a fishing tournament for children on April 25th at J.F. Gregory Park. Sign-up will be at 8:00 AM and lunch will also be served.

King Fish Tournament

The Offshore Outlaws Fishing Club is proud to announce the 4th Annual KMT presented by Hickory Bluff Marine. The pre-season Kingfish Tournament will be held from May 13-16, at Ft. McAllister Marina. The event kicks off at Fort McAllister Marina on June 26th, 2009 at 7 pm with the Captains Meeting. A catered dinner by Fish Tales Restaurant will be provided for all teams and guest. Fishing day is June 27th, 2009 with fishing beginning at 7:00 am and will end with a very exciting weigh-in back at Fort McAllister Marina from 5-7 pm. The entire Richmond Hill area gets behind this event, therefore we are expecting huge crowds back at the docks for the finale. We run the largest non-sanctioned SKA event in Georgia. We are expecting a large turnout again this year with over $10,000.00 for first prize. The Offshore Outlaws Fishing Club is able to put on this impressive tournament and payout because of our fantastic members and sponsors. Roberts Shooting Preserve

Exciting news for you shooting enthusiasts! Starting November 1, 2008 Roberts Shooting Preserve will be open to the public for limited bookings. This is quail hunting at its finest. This land has been in the Roberts family for over twenty years, and until this year these birds have been hunted exclusively by the Roberts immediate family. Through years of management, Toby Roberts has created a wingshooting environment second to none. Through prescribed burning, multi-crop food plots, predator control and strict course rotation he has created as naturalized/wild bird as you will see on a preserve. Whether you are shooting clays, shooting birds or enjoying a meal at the lodge you are sure to have a great time.

Christmas Parade

In 1991, a sailboat, a trawler and a runabout decked their hulls (and everything else) with Christmas lights and slowly cruised up “the mighty Ogeechee River, braving harsh elements on a voyage of goodwill to bring Christmas tidings and cheer to the good people of Richmond Hill,” Or so their certificates said. It was the beginning of Christmas on the Ogeechee lighted boat parade and a local tradition. Each year, the spectacle of lights grew. Today, hundreds line the docks, bluffs and banks around Fort McAllister Marina to enjoy the illuminated procession that ushers in the holiday season the beginning of December.

Blue Water Tournament

The Offshore Outlaws hold two bluewater tournaments each year. There is a Bluewater Bonanza, and a Bluewater Rodeo. The Bonanza is a four month long tournament between March and June, in which you “fish as you wish”. Each team gets two fish days a month, and can weigh-in dolphin, tuna and wahoo. Points are gained for billifsh catch and releases also. The Rodeo is the same concept, but you can only fish one day out of two. The Offshore Outlaws have become one of the largest, most popular fishing clubs in this area.

The Offshore Outlaws held their Awards Party July 2, 2009. The winners for the overall tournament are ”Hatta Dream” in 1st place, “Irrigator” in 2nd place and “Spread Em” in 3rd place. ”Hatta Dream” won for the biggest tuna 33.01 lbs. ”Seagreen” won for the biggest wahoo 76.00 lbs, and “Hatta Dream” for the biggest dolphin 39.09 lbs.

Our Gulfstream trips offer you the opportunity to catch tuna, dolphin, wahoo and billfish. Offshore trips include fishing for kingfish, amberjack and bottom fish species (grouper, snapper, seabass). Redfish Sightfishing Charters

If you have not experienced this, you are missing out. Right here in our back yard exists a true sight fishery. You do not cast unless you are staring at a feeding, tailing Redfish in inches of water. Practice your casting accuracy before going, if you can put the bait in front of them they will eat it. We use artificials on spin tackle and the fly rod. It is a great beginner fly rod fishery. This is very tide specific so you must book ahead.
